1. Tron Legacy. For a more obscure title, Primer
2. Shoot 'Em Up
3. Tough category. Moon? Not sure it counts. What's Eating Gilbert Grape is a good one that surprisingly few people know about, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. American History X
4. The Big Lebowski. Also anything by Kevin Smith, especially Clerks and Mallrats
5. TiMER, Lars and the Real Girl, Safety Not Guaranteed (borderline romantic), Lost in Translation
6. Not a huge documentary fan, I don't watch them all that often. Supersize Me comes to mind
7. Senna
8. I said Primer up top, but Primer. Watch it, then watch it again so you can understand it, then watch it again because you didn't get it right the second time. Again, I mentioned Moon, but fucking Moon, it's amazing.
I could list off movies to watch all day, and I'm a huge fan of simple independent films, so here's a list from glancing at netflix
Sound of Noise, Sleepwalk With Me, Super, Jeff Who Lives at Home, Butter, Bernie, God Bless America, Red State, Charlie Bartlett, Jesus Henry Christ, Being John Malkovich, The Giant Mechanical Man, Iron Sky, Fat Kid Rules The World, Upside Down, In Time, Not Suitable for Children
...I watch a lot of movies, and a lot of weird movies.

2. Le Mans
5. Braindead aka Dead Alive made by Peter Jackson, which I find hilarious. Also goriest movie ever made.
